QR CODE

I've decided that as part of our marketing poster we should include a QR code which is essentially a bar code that can be linked to a website and is used on mobile devices, this means that when people see our poster they can take a snapshot of the QR code and directly view our video, not only does this increase viewership of the video but it creates a more accessible product and diversifies our marketing by allowing the audience to directly choose how they wish to consume our media.

The QR code acts a convergence of mobile technology (phone, ipods, wifi-enabled devices), the internet, video sharing sites (youtube in this instance) and social networking. Quantifying the potential of this simple symbol is viable as it empowers us as a manufacturer of media to link their promotional material and intern 'scatter bomb' their product to consumers.
